Anything you can imagine and execute in an easy-to-work material can be duplicated into a hardwood product. Patterns can be easily carved in basswood or molded in clay. |

Duplicating an architectural detail
The carver makes quick work of
remodeling a distinctive home or building. The router is tough enough
to easily carve the hardest woods to any pattern. Just mount the
original piece on one side, and a blank of oak, cherry, maple or
whatever wood you choose on the other. The cutter faithfully follows
the lines and contours of the original piece.
The real benefit of the carver will become evident when one needs to recreate a detail that is damaged, or incomplete. One can take the damaged original and with glue, plaster, clay, or patching compound, make a complete master that can be used repeatedly to create hardwood pieces ready for finish. |
