This picture shows the carver about one-half of the way through the duplication of a detailed arch.
The router is cutting a duplicate into maple.
The operator's right hand is on the brake mechanism. This unique feature of the
Gemini Carver allows the craftsperson to limit the motion of the follower and the router for
firm control.
This picture shows the finished piece. Total cutting time was one
third what it would have been without the Gemini Carver. If you click
on the image opposite to call up a larger version, you will see that
the duplicate is smooth. Only minor sanding is needed now.
